There are opportunities for those heavily involved in community service to be nominated for service awards, on Michigan Tech's campus as well as through local community organizations, the State of Michigan, and nationally. When we receive notification regarding a service award nomination, those opportunities will be posted on the website.

Vice President for Student Affairs Award for Service
The Vice President for Student Affairs’ Award for Service is given to an undergraduate Michigan Tech student who has performed volunteer services which has provided both benefits for the people served, and provided valuable learning experiences for the student.

“Hats Off to Service” Award
“Hats Off to Service” Awards, is given with a certificate and Michigan Tech hat. Each month a Tech Student will be recognized and highlighted for their service to the campus & community. Pictures will be displayed and monthly winners will be nominated for the Vice President for Student Affairs’ Award for Service each spring.
Faculty, staff & fellow students are more than welcome to submit nominations by 5:00pm on the last day of each month to activities@mtu.edu.

National Volunteer Week
