Sixty Minutes of Service is a new volunteering campaign starting in the 2009 Fall semester. For those of you who want to volunteer but can't make it to a service Saturday, this is for you!

All events are from 5-6pm. Please remember you are responsible for your own transportation to the sites.

  • September 15th - Streetscapes Project in Downtown Houghton
  • 25 volunteers picked up trash and cigarette butts on Sheldon Avenue, Montezuma Avenue, Lakeshore Drive and the downtown parking decks.

  • October 27th - Rake & Run
  • 12 students raked leaves on East, Blanche and Hubbell streets gathering 38 bags of leaves. The program was pictured in the Daily Mining Gazette.

  • November 12th - 60 Minutes of Service
  • We will be raking leaves for the Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly and laying woodchips for the Little Huskies Development Center.

  • December 9th - Holiday Decorating at Omega House
