What is Recruitment?
Recruitment (or "Rush") is a time where potential members and fraternity and sorority members can interact and learn more about each other. Recruitment allows students to meet the members of each of our fraternities and sororities and learn both how they may benefit from fraternity/sorority membership, and how the may help to shape the future of that organization and of the Greek community.

How Do I Find Out About Recruitment Events?

  • Each organization has a square where they post rush information flyers in the large bulletin board inside Fisher Hall
  • Sandwich boards and fliers around campus
  • Flyers are posted all over campus
  • Look to the ground, many organizations write upcoming rush information on the sidewalks in chalk when the weather is nice
  • Dining room tables in residence halls have a weekly table tent of current recruitment information, including when and where rides leave
  • The TV screens on campus show current information, including weekly recruitment schedules
  • Many organizations post their recruitment schedule on their websites.

Interfraternity Council Recruitment: The Interfraternity Council (IFC) host opportunities during orientation and throughout the academic year that allow students to learn about fraternity and sorority membership on campus.

Panhellenic Council Recruitment: The Panhellenic Council, which governs our four sororities affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Sigma Tau, Delta Zeta, & Delta Phi Epsilon) sponsors events throughout the fall semester to engage women interested in joining a nationally-affiliated sorority. These events culminate in a Fall Recruitment Week, in which all Panhellenic Council sororities cooperate to allow women to simutaneously learn about all of our nationally-affiliated sororities.
