MUB 106

The Student Organizations Office in MUB 106 provides services to Student Organizations such as office space, mailboxes and copying. Organizations that have an office are expected to occupy it from 10:00AM to 2:00PM on weekdays.

Office Space

The Student Organizations Office has cubicle-esque space available for organizations to set up an office. Currently, thirteen student organization utilize this space in MUB 106. If your organization would like to apply for office space in the Student Organizations Office, please contact the Memorial Union Board by stopping in to MUB 106 between 10:00AM and 2:00PM. Office space is determined in the spring for the following academic year. Organizations that are granted office space are expected to occupy it from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.

Mail

All registered student organizations are assigned mailboxes located in MUB 106. Mail Services delivers mail to the Student Organizations Office during each weekday.

Resource Center

New this year to the Student Organizations Office Suite is a resource center. There are two copiers; one black & white, one color. Also included is a fax machine, paper cutter, paper folder, poster paper, markers etc. for your organization use. There also are two computers for Student Organizations to use who do not have office space currently assigned. A sign-up sheet is located with the Student Organizations Secretary. Limit is two hours at a time, however exceptions can be made. This is a community space and not to be squatted on.

Copy Machine (Black and White/Color)

There are two copy machines (black and white/color) and paper located just within the Student Organizations Office for organization or personal use. The charge is 6 cents per copy for black and white, the charge is 10 cents per copy for color.. The paper is free of charge, thanks to your Student Activity Fee. Every RSO receives its own copy code. Talk to the Student Organizations Secretary to get your copy code for your organization.

Fax Machine

There is a fax machine located just within the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) office for organization or personal use. The charge for the fax machine is 25 cents per page. Ask the Student Organizations Secretary for instructions on how to use the fax machine. The fax machine is supported by money from your Student Activity Fee.

Student Organizations Account Use

If your organization lacks the funds to pay for a service provided by a university department now, you might be eligible to use the Student Organizations account. Come to MUB 106 and fill out the Account Use Request form. As long as your organization is registered and does not have a balance with the account, you may use the account now and the Undergraduate Student Government will bill you later.

Michigan Tech Fleet Services Vehicle Request

Many times organizations going on long trips or in the need of large amounts of transportation will request to use a University vehicle. This request can be processed in the Student Organizations Office. Simply ask the Student Organizations Secretary for the form and fill it out completely. This is one of the things that the Student Organizations Account has been used for due to the price of renting vehicles.

Please note that when you are using a University Vehicle, you must be representing the University. The Vehicles cannot be used for personal reasons.
