Goal:
The Professional Development Committee (PDC) of Student Affairs will support, encourage and facilitate professional development activities for Student Affairs staff and the university community. PDC has the following foundations for the Professional Development in Student Affairs:

Expectations:
- Staff must be encouraged to expand their knowledge, contribute to their profession and become engaged in the larger community.
- Staff will be characterized by their superior skills and exceptional understanding and strong commitment to the student and faculty that they serve.
- Staff will value the richness of human differences, promote fairness in our policies and practices, and uphold basic principles of social justice.
- Staff must be committed to creating an inclusive living and learning environment for student, faculty and staff through leadership training, professional development and mentoring programs that promote sensitivity and respect for the full range of human diversity.
- Staff will enhance their technological skills to meet the needs of technologically-oriented generation of students.
